@box464 I think server-sent events would be a good solution for it. Instead of manually refreshing, the client can just display it when it arrives, and the server can send multiple chunks if needed (so it can send first-level replies first, then the next level if there is one...)

@box464 I use the guard pattern a lot in C#, it just doesn't have a keyword for it so it's usually an inverted if statement with a return or throw at the top of a method.
I had a quick look at the Swift doc, it seems like the interesting thing about the guard keyword is that you can do initialization for the rest of the function there, maybe with some pattern matching as well.

@tournesol Ah ouais, massif le panier. Pas très surprenant que ce soit beaucoup de viande, ça périme relativement vite et il y en a beaucoup trop produite, mais au moins si c'est bien réfrigéré ça se consomme quelques jours après la date de péremption (ils doivent toujours être safe et la mettre plus tôt que ce que ça vaut en pratique). Le beurre par contre ils abusent...

@grifdail Ah oui, c'est dans la spec d'ECMAScript, pas de la w3c... Bon dans la pratique ça veut quand même dire que Firefox est le seul navigateur majeur étant à jour sur les standards JS, et que si on veut utiliser Temporal ça ne merchera pas sur les autres, ce qui est le même problème qu'avec les APIs web.

@fabi1cazenave Oui, Discourse a des réponses mais ça ne fait pas un vrai thread, les réponses s'affichent quand même dans la chronologie au même niveau que le reste, ce qui n'est pas idéal, et il n'y a à ma connaissance pas de "réponse acceptée" ou ordre autre que chronologique... Je n'ai malheureusement pas d'autre suggestion, je n'ai pas essayé les autres dont tu parles donc je n'ai pas d'avis dessus.

@amdg2 @noybeu That's true, I didn't think about that. Since WhatsApp is end to end encrypted, they can't use the content of discussion to push advertising, but they can use the profiles of people we talk to (that they have access to with Facebook and Instagram) in order to infer interests.
