@albinowax @bagder Maybe the link to the abstract should be more clear, because the first visible things are a countdown and links to socials, the actual link to the details is smaller, at the bottom and only aimed at people attending in person, left as an afterthought...

@nixCraft This is mostly code completion, which makes sense: they just switched from traditional IntelliSense to their own AI-powered one, and if it works well people will use it. It's technically generative AI, but it doesn't mean that it's AI slop with vibe coding.
I think specialized models for language specific tooling is good, it should be possible to make it small enough to run locally too, I'm just wondering how far that path they went vs going full online LLM.

@nyquildotorg True, right now when an instance dies the admins of federated instances have to manually remove it, and there is no instructions on whether they should keep the content from that instance or delete/tumbstone it... Definitely something to look into, it could be worth create a FEP

@nyquildotorg Encryption keys should be reusable (the owner should have access to private keys), and there are standards regarding endpoints discoverability (basically everyone uses Webfinger for instance), so that should be solvable with cache invalidation. I think it's more a matter of having a proper migration process than some fundamental incompatibility.
