I see a lot of people being disappointed with Switch 2 just being...well, a second Switch, and Nintendo being seemingly done with innovation.

The thing is, is Nintendo actually done with the Switch concept? Has this concept lost any of its innovative potential?

Because, tbf, this hybrid handheld/home console idea remains very much unique in the consoles space, and at the time it blended 20 years of Nintendo innovations in both handheld and home ranges.

So is it really outdated in any way?

@transcendentempress I just think, why make a second console then ? You can't tell me it wasn't possible to have better performance since the switch release no ?

Like for me, it's mostly to make more sales and rekindle the hype

@tournesol @transcendentempress I think they could have made it a "pro" version or whatever, and give extra perfs, but having it be a Switch 2 also allows them to control the available games. If it was a Pro version, people would expect to be able to play all the games that run on it also on their non-pro version, but the performance difference may not allow it.
