Fun fact (really). The Bonfire fediverse platform allows each individual user the ability to upload their own set of custom emojis.

There seems to be no limit to how many, tho I'm sure there will have to be as it gets more popular. And it will. Looking snazzy!
The image shows a user interface for adding custom emojis, including fields for labeling the emoji, choosing a shortcut, and uploading an image. There is also a section displaying existing custom emojis.

@box464 Isn't it just because you're an admin? That would be like Iceshrimp (and probably other Misskey derivatives) in that case.

@box464 I wonder how the administration works for those, if it's really on individual level the admins should be able to delete them if for instance someone adds an NSFW emoji on an instance that doesn't allow it, but I can see the interface for that become cluttered very quickly.
