@arstechnica I don't see how it's useful on a laptop, but in a car it could be useful for instance, having a transparent windshield which also allows to display information. Basically moving the HUD from a glance on the side for the GPS to right where the driver's attention should be.

@wraptile @molly0xfff Sure, most people don't read it, but at least it's an extra step that needs to be accepted first, which we don't have with opt-out options.
And with GDPR, refusing should be as easy as accepting, so if a popup doesn't have the "accept all" and "refuse all non-necessary" buttons at the same level, they are breaking GDPR, in which case you may want to let one of the many privacy watchdog groups know, as they can take action.

@arstechnica That's still nowhere near as good as real hybrid watches, though... I've had mine for years, it has a battery life of 3-4 weeks when using it passively (as a watch and alarm clock, receiving notifications and step counting), there is no way I'd go for a watch with less than a week of battery life.

@tournesol Je pense que c'est une tentative de traduction littérale du they anglais, qui désigne le pluriel mais aussi le neutre (singulier ou pluriel). Ce qui m'a toujours titillé, pour moi it est un meilleur neutre singulier, mais vu que c'est utilisé pour désigner des objets c'est considéré malpoli... Et il n'y a aucune de raison d'amener ça si on veut créer un mot neutre dans une autre langue ​:akko_angry:​

Quelques jours après que Reddit annonce qu'ils vont vendre les données écrites par leurs utilisateurs, je vois qu'ils ont enlevé le bouton "edit" sur la "nouvelle" interface... Heureusement il est encore là sur la old.reddit.
Bon, c'est le moment de faire du mass edit avec de la désinformation hein ​:nko_lul:​
