a question for people with glasses for distance please:

i've been going through a Glasses Saga for well over a year now, during which time i've had glasses for close-up but not for distance. i've finally got a pair for distance, and my goodness everything is clear and sharp! but every time i wear them, i feel really sick (nauseated like motion sickness).

i know the axis/cylinder are correct(ish); they're the same as on my close-up glasses and those are fine. but i'm wondering whether it's possible that i just got used to everything being in soft, slightly blurry focus and if now the sharpness of objects and different motion (everything moving looks
very different when sharp) is affecting me?

disclaimer: these are internet glasses, and i made up the prescription myself. this is partly because i'm poor but also because i got 5 prescriptions from ophthalmologists/opticians in the past year and they were all wildly different and wrong in some way, so i guessed based on what i knew. it's possible that i guessed wrong, but equally, every other pair i tried that made distance sharp — including official prescriptions — made me feel sick too ...

i'm thinking i just need to wear them for a minute at a time and work up, but i don't know?

thank you for any insight you might have

@moonrabbit I'm not sure if I understand well so here my maybe answer :
I wear glasses for distance (myopie) since i'm 8
And at the beginning it give me headaches (maix de tete?) (and it's not easy for me to have headache)
But after 3 days (of school) at wearing it, it get better

Don't know if it is your problem here

i think i will need to try them a little bit each day for now ...

@moonrabbit maybe you need glasses "progressive" ?
I don't know, I am only "myope", I do not have any vision problem for short distance...

Here the heat will be acceptable because we could let the windows open during fresh periode
So, even if the temperature go higher, it starts with 23°C in, and not 27°C like before

How about you ?

@poupou24_
i can't wear progressive because my eyes don't match the pattern they use. but i hope i will get used to these.

and yes, we're opening the door/windows at night and in the early morning, so that helps. and hopefully next week, the temperatures will go down again ...
