I'm working on a paper about what to do with abandoned/obsolete GPUs + data centres that might proliferate in a post AI bubble moment. We joke about laser tag parks + massive LAN parties, but what have people done with similar resources before when they've appeared?
I know there's a range of guesses about how likely a big sectoral pop might be, and whether industry has promising ways of using slack capacity/old racks... But have you heard of any actual case studies/neat projects? (RT welcome)
