what. the actual.

fuck la poste:

i need to send a sculptures parcel to the US. i struggled to get it packed but did, go me, and so i bought the postage. i used my usual tariff code which, i have confirmed, is still the valid US HTC code.

but la poste, in their INFINITE wisdom, have decided that my code, which they knew applied to original statuary a few weeks ago

now refers to

✨ Plastic container, food-grade ✨

and they have printed that on the customs form/registered it in the system as electronically transmissible info. and there's nothing i can do to change that. i can't send the parcel, i have to wait 7 days to get my money back on the label that i now can't use, and i have to write to the customer and try to explain this idek what situation.

But, if it is refered as plastic, the post-people risk to break your work, because you do some breakable work
Like "fragile" (is this word works in english?)

That why you can't send them with this reference ? Or this for other kind of problem ?

le problème est que si le code (ou sa description) ne corresponde pas à les articles dedans le colis, c'est tout à fait possible que les autorités douaniers des états-unis ne vont accepter le colis. et pire, le destinateur va peut-être facturer pour les tarifs ​:bunhdsad:​

(et j'ai besoin de faire mon signature pour attester que les articles sont exactement comme décrit, donc c'est un peu 😬)

@moonrabbit aah oui, la douane, j'avais oublié qu'ils sont... rigoureux, très stricte.
Tu vas pouvoir faire changer ce "titre" ? C'est faisable ?

la seule chose que je peux changer c'est le code, mais c'est le code qui est liée aux tarifs et je dois absolument l'utiliser ... c'est un bordel.
