Someone make an open hardware E-Ink Display device with a camera. All it needs is to scan QR codes and save MFA codes. Don't give it any networking, maybe an optional pin to encrypt the storage/codes.

Some reachable USB-C little square, about 6-10x6-10cm.

A few employees refuse to use their personal phones and the overhead of issuing a work mobile is insane, this would be really useful, can call it PinCard or something, get TeenageEnginnering to make it bright yellow and pay Linus Tech Tips to review it, I'm sure you'll make a killing.

If It's about £100 then it's worth it for enterprise, if it's £30 I'll buy one for my grandparents.

Put a hole in the corner so I can attach a lanyard please.

@Baa Like… TOTP?
I use a yubikey and the authenticator app for my TOTP. Works basically everywhere and the experience is smooth.

@tofu yeah exactly a device for scanning TOTP codes and displaying them
I think YubiKeys are not compatible with TOTP and only present one code

at least I have Token2 keys that allow this

@Baa @tournesol You use the app, it can store like up to 32 TOTP secrets per slot. It can scan QR codes, and the desktop one can do it one click and just look for them on the screen.

@Baa @tofu using their authenticator app, I then use NFC or plug the key on my phone to get the TOTP
