just realized the gnome files trash icon gets bigger if it has things inside it. daily driving linux for two years i tell you.
gnome files with the "trash" section of the sidebar having an inflated trash can icon, showing it has files inside.
gnome files with the "trash" section of the sidebar having a trash can icon, signifying it's empty.
