Trying out Firefox alternatives:
- LibreWolf is nice, but its default settings put privacy over usability.
- Waterfox works OK, but doesn't come in Linux Mint's repositories, didn't have an official Flatpak until a few days ago, and feels a bit less polished looking.

@tournesol @Theotime812 @dtgeek Same, I've used it for quite a while so I'm used to all the features...

I just tried to install it on my Steam Deck to see how the onboarding and default configuration is, they are kind of pushing the features of Zen, but the onboarding stays pretty simple: import your browser settings from Firefox if you want to, choose your default search engine, then skip the next couple of screens and you're set.
One thing that may be confusing is the default layout. As an added step, you can go to the browser's settings, in the Look and Feel section and set it to Sidebar and Top Toolbar, which puts back the search bar and buttons in a familiar place. If you use Firefox with vertical tabs, this layout or the Collapsed Sidebar are very close to what you can end up with in Firefox.
If you are not importing tabs, it starts with some tabs in the Essentials, some pinned tabs in a folder and a couple of other ones. If you want to simplify it as much as possible, drag the essential tabs down to remove them from the Essentials section (it will disappear when it's empty), close the pinned tabs and delete the folder, and there you go: you just have a browser with vertical tabs and no extra complexity.
