I hope anyone who says "well they just should have immigrated the legal way" wakes up in a hell that's them trying to fill out immigration paperwork, for eternity.

And trying to afford it, when every piece of paper you touch is $100/min, attorneys are $200/hr, and language tests are $300

This post is sponsored by IELTS, which I have to take AGAIN, even though my job was literally "English Teacher," bc results are only good for TWO YEARS

Yes, I forgot how to speak a language in 2 years, even though it is my native language & my job. You got me!

@stephstephking I'm weirded out by the fact that you have to take a laguage test of your native language (and official language of your country of origin). I had to take some silly ones too, but the native speaker from abroad didn't.

@just_chill Not only my native language but I have a degree IN ENGLISH LITERATURE! And I have to take the test AGAIN bc the last one "expired" AND this one will have expired by the time I get to the next step in Canadian immigration (bc my current permit will be for 3 years) so I will have to take it then AGAIN for the 3rd time

(I haven't even touched on how I will ALSO have to take the French test again, bc I need the points from both languages. $300 a pop!)
