Okay, so still getting an issue with Wayland on my ProBook 6460b (HD Graphics 3000 (SNB GT2)) & Ubuntu 25.04, when the brightness dimming happens, I have to push the brightness button to have it back to undimmed level, moving mouse or kb input don't change it. Problem doesn't happen with X11 session.

Does anyone have/had similar issue?

@transcendentempress I would suggest trying out Mint for your laptop. Seems like safer bet when comes to stability on your model.

@improbite If possible, I'd like to solve the issue without distrohopping again.

@transcendentempress Ubuntu and mint have the same base - just boot into live version and check if it happens, because it will make the search for solution easier :-) because sometimes adding Mint or Ubuntu to search helps like hella a lot.
