I set up all her games, 16 bit windows apps that literally could not run on modern devices, to launch silently through wine if she double clicked on their icons. I also had a script set up with an icon that said "FIX" so that if something like her DPI settings changed or things just weren't working right, she could click on the big FIX icon and it would change all her settings to things that they should be
