i'm kinda surprised that switch 2 is now the fastest selling console of all time. i have barely been seeing any fanfare or excitement surrounding it. do people just not get excited for things the same way they used to? or do they mindlessly consume even tho they do not care as much? or am i just not paying as much attention as i used to? all of the above are likely

@ghostlyash idk. I have been excited and lots of people I know have been as well. I do think people have critisised it a lot ... but my god, my most tech standards it's a worthy successor. It's what essentially everyone wanted. The first generation switch but more powerful, larger screen, and backward compatible ... and it literally got all that. YouTubers went out of their way to complain how it has no innovative features but like ... not every update has to break the industry

@engravecavedave @ghostlyash Which is quite ironic considering it's often the same people who are totally okay with huge lot of tech products like smartphones being the very same every six months since the last 10 years or so.
