Yesterday I rewrote the Nix configuration of two repositories to not use flakes, instead using npins for dependency management.

It's so much better.

Can we give up on flakes now? I'm so tired of them not really being a thing while also being the recommended thing, and also being totally broken in so many ways.

@samir I never understood or made a flake work and that was the main reason I left Nix.
