This whole "Oh GTA VI got delayed, insert great game released since January can be the GOTY" is really fedding me up. I mean, how is GTA VI the pre-titled GOTY of any year? Even if it would have been released this year, how would it have been more GOTY material than the amazing games released recently? How could games like Split Fiction or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which are absolutely incredible on their own, be less likely to be the defining games of 2025 if there had been GTA VI?
