Here’s a list of great video game soundtrack with a bit of explanation, and some of my best picks for each.

I’ll only include original soundtracks. Most of the tunes must have been composed for the game. I also won’t include covers, remix albums, etc.

A lot of games have tried to exploit the French synthwave frenzy over the last decade (of course, Hotline Miami comes to mind). But only a few managed to actually bring together a team with the best artists out there, led by Danger, for entirely brand-new compositions.

The game itself is a dark neon futuristic fast-paced boss rush, relentlessly hard. Every major track serves as the main theme from a different boss, with the attack patterns and different phases being sync to the music.
