Last Tuesday was my fourth hormoniversary! :blobhaj_trans_heart: 🎂
(I wasn't in a good place then so I didn't post but I do now as I'm better.)
Gender and transition never were simple, clear-cut things for me. I never woke up a morning realizing I was this or wanted that. When I started HRT four years ago, what I mostly felt was scared. I had taken that decision but it was a jump into the unknown, a leap of faith into myself. Finally, it was one of the best decision in my life.
What this reminds me now is that I can trust myself with my own life. I'm able to accurately perceive and understand what's good for me, even when it's something wild, and to take scary life-changing decisions to act upon this. Now gender stuff is not that scary to me, but I still need to remember this because it's much bigger than gender. There is no life without change and I need to constantly recreate myself and my life in the shape of what I need to become. Looking back to my transition journey so far give me the strength and confidence to do so and to overcome both my own limitations and the challenges around me.
May you all have the freedom, strength and boldness to shape your being and your life according to your desires and needs, and may you and your kin prevail over those who would stand in your way!
