Mozilla CEO made around 7 million USD last year, but hosting bills are pending. Now, they updated the ToS, and you can't watch p0rn, or your data will be sold, or they no longer care about the orignal mission, etc. Once again, we see C-suits lose their grip on reality. As long as they are getting paid in millions, software projects can go to /dev/null. It is like they want to ruin the project on purpose. There is no other explanation I can think of. Can you?
@nixCraft Yep, simple explanation, a company is made of people and sometimes people mess up. Hosting bills are not pending anymore and as explained by a Mozilla employee it was due to a change from self-hosted to hosted service that didn't go fully as planned. "you can't watch porn or your data will be sold" is wildly misleading, Firefox doesn't sell your data more than it already did, their ToS didn't change anything, they just realized that they may be in trouble with their current language because of the fact that they have to share some data with advertisers to provide the sponsored links, even though it's anonymized. And talking about the CEO pay is just fearmongering for people who are currently donating, that money comes from a different pool (only from corporate sponsorships, not donations).
