complaining about witcher 3 it reminds me a lot like when i played mass effect for the first time last year. yeah so many amazing aspects to those games but the controls were so stiff i couldn't help but want to quit. if navigating a game world feels like a chore then it is hard for me to want to continue playing it. even if the rest of your game is a 10/10 if you can't nail the fundamentals then it just doesn't look all that good. why would i want to spend dozens of hours on a game where movement feels like a painful and annoying experience even if the rest of it is amazing. that's just me anyways i know people love it and i am glad that they do i'm just a little annoyed at the moment. i could probably get used to it but unlike my love for sci-fi fueling my playthrough of mass effect, fantasy worlds don't really speak to me that much.

complaining about witcher 3 @ghostlyash Reminds me back when Red Dead Redemption 2 was released, the stiffness was literally sold as a strong point.

complaining about witcher 3 @transcendentempress lmao yeah i get what you mean. definitely the worst part of that game but at least it had a really good hook at the start with the atmosphere and oppressive nature of it. the stiff controls made moving in the snow more believable and eased you into the controls better. witcher 3's intro is kinda generic and dull to me. but you do make a good point

complaining about witcher 3 @ghostlyash There are some really strong quests storylines later on though, so I hope that the game will manage to keep you long enough so that you play them.
