To be blunt, I don’t know how much I want to continue doing this at all. Just giving it a bit more time before I decide if it’s still worth it or not.
I have a lot of issues with Bluesky (the fact that it’s US-based and owned is a biiiig one, and how about the lack of CWs?). I think the 300 character count limit per post really prevent from seeing more interesting content there. You get either short provocative and reductive takes, or sometimes, more interesting content crammed into messy, unreadable long threads.
I don’t blame people who like Bluesky, I’m just saying… it’s not what I want from a social network anymore. My use evolved to the point I’m mostly looking for a place where I can read, blog, and host my own content as I see fit. Even while being picky with who I follow, Bluesky is full of one-liners, dooming, talking constantly about the worst people on Earth (just marry Musk already and let us go, dammit). Maybe I’ve become simply too old for this.
