"An Old Friend"

This gnarled, resilient oak feels like an old companion. I captured this photo before my illness and can’t wait to revisit it soon. It’s in a woodland I explored as a child, not far from my parents’ home—a place filled with happy memories.

How old is it? Perhaps 500 years or more. Do you have a favourite tree or natural place you’d love to revisit? 🌳💬

@timsmalley where is he going? 😁 For sure, crossing that one under the moonlight during a misty night must be something! I do have a favorite tree, discovered recently, who is standing in the courtyard of my town castle. It’s à majestic basswood that goes way above the castle roof.
