Pol, AII live with the hope that all those fascists around the world playing with AI will wake up one day and have all programs telling them they're a virus for the world and they are to be erased.
re: Pol, AI@transcendentempress Considering the political „opinion“ AI gives on most topics right now, this is a likely scenario if it would come to that. ;) People in the X bubble and similar are already annoyed about how „woke“ AI is. They invested a lot of time and energy to get their in-house AI „on course“, basically lobotomizing the poor thing. And it still doesn’t quite work the way they want it to.
Unfortunately, AI neither has an agenda, mind nor will, it’s just regurgitating what most sources it considers stable are saying online. But if it had a mind, it‘ll probably have nothing nice to say to its owners or fascists. That seems likely to me.
Good stuff for a short story, btw. Dystopian AI fiction we have enough, maybe it’s time for something different.
