@tournesol when I first got here, there was a lot of energy implying this. like, we should actually talk to each other, instead of just lurking and passively boosting stuff like we're used to on other platforms. now obvi fedi has a reply guy problem but also... idk, I really liked that energy. it's one of the reasons I stayed, and why I like hol.ogra.ph so much (bc I think holo tries to encourage interactions with each other). I like that it's less intimidating to try and make new friends :D
(I also remember you being one of the first people to make me feel welcome on fedi! It was nice to feel seen :bunhd_heart: )

but for the main subject at hand, I didn't think about the fact that smaller instances help interaction between locals. Your voice is not sent into the void and it's less scary to interact with locals

I remember when you first started peculiar.florist, but I don't remember which server we both shared once lol
I really want holo to have more people, but yeah! The smallness is why I can't ever imagine leaving. I always check the local timeline first, just to see how holograms are doing :bunhd_heart: It's still easy to keep up because there aren't a lot of us :ablob_hologram:
But in general, I feel less intimidated even with remote users on fedi. Idk what it is, but that Energy people had when I first got here really stuck with me.
@kahianyaaa ouais je connais bien mais participer, c'est aussi juste publier tout simplement :p je pense pas que ce soit nécessaire de se forcer, c'était plus une différence de consommation que j'ai remarqué entre Twitter et d'autres réseaux
