fedi software meta question
okay hi so i need a senior fediverse software librarian to help me 🥺we are currently running #sharkey. this was because #firefish and #iceshrimp had their whole fiasco which i wanted to stay clear of, but we still wanted fedi software with:
- reasonable standards compliance
- active development
- features that are actually fun (emotes, cat mode, all the #misskey joys)
- PWA for mobile
- responsive ux and at least somewhat aesthetically pleasing ui
have recently seen the name #cherrypick pop up in global timeline & used by some of our friends.
and uh, the question is: what do? how do the different *key forks compare? and why do they exist?
re-{post,blog,note}s and rambles very welcome, the more opinions and details the merrier :)
i know nothing about any drama, except for the fact that when projects overlap it either happens or has happened
also, is this how you're supposed to use hashtags?
