I'm tired of those stories myself. "Don't say it's too late!" they say, "Odin was 700 years old when he published his first novel, and got his college degree and started a family. It could still happen to you, if you didn't have such a bad attitude about it!"

@cy I can't really reply based on this mere comment. I have a very personal, but also interesting answer about how prose can help people to deprogram themselves from other people's stakes of multi-generational strategies of social ascension, and also to invent their own programs while doing tasks, relieving them of a self-supervision mental charge.

This means that one's resources don't always work for others, not necessarily because they'd bit less able but because there would be no need to deprogram them in the first place. If you get tired of these stories, maybe you don't need them.

Maybe you need them, but not told this way, and we can talk about this.
