Aug21. To what extent does politics play a role in your work?

HAHAHahHahahaha!

… It's full of politics.

The Laundry Files? Civil servants trying to keep their heads down and do their jobs (when the government they serve has been taken over by an Ancient Evil).

The Merchant Princes? The politics of modernity and economic development arrive in other time lines.

The rest of it? All informed by politics, all the time.

@cstross : is there a way to write (book/songs/texts/blog posts/even software) which doesn’t involve politics?

If yes, please share that secret, this sounds so relaxing to be able to write without caring about politics.
