@emojipedia honestly, that change which was forced through by apple and Google was idiotic in the first place and I don't mind if it gets undone. It's the pistol emoji, not the waterpistol emoji and the blatant disregard for international standards is one of many reasons for why these companies suck.

@oceane@emojipedia Oh, I’m certainly not arguing that Twitter did this for respectable reasons. I’m just saying that I agree with the result, not their rationale, because I believe the original change was really stupid in the first place, set a horrible precedent and disregarded one of the most important international standards.
@Fiona@emojipedia But this "result" is a means to stimulate the far-right worldwide, so this is neither the right moment nor the right place (Twitter) to do this. I agree with you that multi-billion dollars corps should be kept as far as possible from ethics, but doesn't this include companies reverting changes made in the name of ethics to improve their ethics related to their adherence to standards?
