France politics, neoliberalism Neoliberals will always run on a campaign of “if you vote for the bad people, then things will get worse!”, without the self-awareness of understanding that things are currently bad under their regime

It is also kind of an insult to the electorate to try to scare them into voting for you, like some kind of ersatz protection racket.

France politics, neoliberalism @yassie_j The fascists want to send you back to their fantasies of the past and their embellishment of the memory of dark times; the neo-liberals want to keep you a prisoner of the present, where for them you're just part of an expensive variable in a spreadsheet.

In both cases, no one is offering you a future.
