Governments are increasingly trying to weaponize loneliness and depression against the people who are only isolated and depressed because of their policies.
@gwynnion I can't agree more. I'm sparing you caps locking but this is precisely what I'm blogging about, here in France, about social media: social media addiction is our governments' fault, dividing the working class serves their class interests, and they're also optimizing their political benefits by preaching about e.g. how anonimity would unchain violence. Speaking as a school bullying survivor I'm confident saying that jackal would stem from our projections of courtyards, and speaking as a sociology student, I can certify you that online abuse is a way to monetize depression and loneliness and that I can pull you half a dozen of references about this. I'm not even a good student.
