@jwz @mikolaj@chaos.social This is bottom-of-the-barrel discussion of Mozilla's mismanagement.

Yes, they're poorly managed for cutting funding to open-source frameworks and firing staff, while increasing their executive's wages.

But they still need to fund their browser and most of their funding comes from Google anyway, so until we, the FLOSS community, get our shit together and fund the software we find valuable, I'll applaud our organisations becoming more independant from known abusers.

@jwz I still wouldn't be interested in "actually, this is about ethics in kitten meat" answers — I'd be looking for concrete solutions – and FYI, I'm vegetarian; however, I'm slowly coming up with a short-term proposal, that needs to be as satisfying to hear as possible to get shared by real-life influencers. I don't want to oversell it but I need some time, this is part of why my blog is on a break.
