@stux One could argue the opposite, that federation filters content without needing an algorithm, because I would only see the responses from servers I'm federated with, so if my server is in a social bubble, the answers I see will be just as biased as the example. Although it doesn't specifically push hateful content for engagement, so even if it can be an issue for niche bubbles, it's waaay better overall.
