Any suggestions as to what these might be? They're very abundant, flying and creeping about on machair in SW Mull just now. πŸ€” About 12-15mm long? Look at the wee feelers! 😊 🀩

The wing-cases are dark, lustrous purply brow, while the abdoment and head are dark metallic green. The feelers are like tiny three or four-pointed forks.

@FaithfullJohn Furthermore: they are loud and obnoxious and weren't there last year ? (you would have noticed)
The suggested Phyllopertha horticola appears only every 4 years and it's currently one of those years.
