I have seen AI-generated images containing the same elements (e.g. an AI-generated image with the same amount of cats, two small, and one large white cat with intricate golden patterns, a lotus flower, and a remaining coin at the top) & the same colors in my artwork. I especially mean the right picture in the three-pictured layout.

How should I feel about such situations?
Six of Coins. Meaning: Charity, Support, Giving, Receiving, Generosity. In the center, we can see a happy white cat goddess decorated with intricate golden patterns and a golden necklace containing one of the six coins. There are two rainbow-colored lotus flowers (on the left open, on the right still closed) on each side. On the left, a small kitten is looking in the lotus flower which is filled with milk. It can see itself mirrored in it. On the right, we can see another kitten looking up to the roots of the flower. In the background, we can see the other five coins shining like stars. In this second example, someone uploaded my Disco Dingo artwork directly into an AI tool and changed the main character from a Dingo to a cat into a woman.

By the way, this AI tool also allows further edits of at least 30 AI-generated image versions based on my original.

@sylvia_ritter They even cropped it to remove the copyright information... Depending on what kind of licensing you have on your images, you can definitely go after them (for instance, a CC BY-ND requires credit to be given and doesn't allow derivatives, so this would not respect it).

@Varpie Yes, I am used to cropping by now. I have three older more abstract artworks with a CC BY-ND license and nobody has given credit so far. CC licenses are also not flexible. Once you've given this license it can never be changed. I understand why but you have to be sure about your licensing decision.

@sylvia_ritter Yes, of course, the CC licenses aren't made for everything, I was just giving an example in case you were not aware. Licensing is something a surprising amount of people don't know as well as they should (and I don't know much about art licenses other than CC, licenses for code aren't the same).

@Varpie Thank you. :) I started with CC licenses in the beginning but then it shifted because I realized that I would not be good for anything else than art. Without a basic income or very rich relatives, you won't get far. It is sad to say but the copyright law brought me this far at least. Without this awkward support system, many artworks wouldn't exist.
