OpenAI, with help from Microsoft, announced an office in Japan. I see no connection between the two events. This battle to prevent the misuse of your work to train AI is already lost.

@nixCraft The battle will be fought in the US and machine learning based on copyrighted assets will probably be declared illegal; I don't think any executive will be prosecuted, that's the rules and they know them, AFAIU; the battle in Japan might be lost but I don't think Sam Altman will let go of his US citizenship
