I think he's saying "I'll take that as a no" as a response to his own question (on whether FediThing remembers when Facebook helped author the pre-cursor spec to ActivityPub). He seems to acknowledge that Facebook was helping genocide, since he says "they got called out for that", so he's not denying it, just saying that they (according to him) are being held accountable.
And overall it seems like he's mostly trying to keep it to the technical stuff, which is kind of like saying nothing about it like you recommend he should do in your next post.
I personally don't remember Facebook being involved in doing anything related to the Fediverse before Threads, and couldn't find it on Wikipedia, so I don't know what he's talking about and am not sure that his arguments are valid in the first place (I wouldn't want Meta too close to my open internet), but calling it genocide denial seems a bit extreme in this case since that's not what he was saying no to.
