The good about #Mangane being noticed by more and more people: we get a lot of appreciation, it brings back motivation to keep making it better

The “bad” about Mangane being noticed: almost every one seems to love that it looks like Twitter in its prime so i feel like we might delay (or cancel?) the new UI style proposition we were considering implementing.

Would it be shooting ourselves in the foot to go with that desired art direction and distance ourselves from that Twitter / Soapbox inheritance ?

@Seth When I think of Mangane, I really think of a sleek and polished design.
The only think akin to Twitter in my opinion is that there’s not a lot of "modern" UI on Fedi

@tournesol en vrai la base c’est clairement Twitter d’il y a quelques temps. mais tant mieux si ça ne transparait pas tant que ça ^^

Et du coup l’éventuelle nouvelle UI c’est “sleek a and polished” ou ça part en vrille ? 👀

@Seth bah ça change pas grand chose à l’esprit je trouve. La couleur du background et les pointillés fait un peu plus papier kraft ? Je sais pas si ça fait sens haha

@tournesol oui voilà dans mon esprit je gardais une continuité fonctionnelle et structurelle mais en changeant “juste” la déco.

Ce qui change tout pour celleux qui tiennent au look actuel, “rassurant” parce qu’identifiable et consensuel.^^
