Rightwingers are promoting aggressive anti-bikeism as a key element of the reactionary political identity. Just the most destructive people, reflexively raging against anything coded “left” or “woke.” And so even the most universally beneficial trends and behavior are declared evil and “Un-American” 1/

@tzimmer_history They're leveraging social media to make up a moral panic: obviously, banning “right on red” isn't the same thing as banning “turning on red lights”.

There's an entire, pyramidal network of control there (Foucault) and this guy looks like he's looking for the top position…

@tzimmer_history By the way, whenever someone's talking about “mediocrity”, they're:

1. lying, because social phenomenons are relational, not substantial (Latour);
2. talking about someone's dominated position in a network of control.
