We’ve just marked the anniversary of Elon Musk purchasing Twitter. You could call it the beginning of the end. Many see it as a dark day. I’m just the opposite. Musk buying Twitter and then selfishly and sadistically delighting in destroying it will probably go down in history as one of the best things that could have happened to and on the Internet.

Musk again is developing a mind reading device (the NeuraLink). The Exxon executives are arming a private militia, to defend their own bunkers.
We could see what you see as a stupid way to burn cash as a political, or maybe somehow nihilistic counterpart to SpaceX: he's betting all of his fortune on a political, fascist project, dogwhistling his Twitter allies in every way he feels creative.
Within the next 10 years, I expect piles of corpses away from public sight, and the ultra rich getting people to sign “contracts” to join their somehow livable (or not) private properties, as slaves, their minds being read in real time. The State couldn't really forbid it without having to give up on its respect of private property, and these landlords could expel whoever they'd wish, which would gradually start to mean a death sentence.
Your blog post might be good but I also believe that Musk is pretty smart and that he's pretending to be an idiot to serve his own political interests (and our journalists are buying it, because meh, journalism – too many people are paid to splain their readers).
