You are missing the point. PEOPLE, as a whole, are basically good. Thus expanding the decision circles to include MORE AFFECTED PEOPLE, has the ability to wash out selfish and malevolent actors.
Literally NOWHERE did I say "all people are grand" - that's YOU not being able to read. Life is not a war of all against all, or the society you live in WOULD NOT FUCKING EXIST.
