If I recall correctly : Blue > Silver > Ruby > Diamond > I don't remember Black or White > X > Sun > Sword > Violet when it'll be on sale.

@hamano there is this weird phenomenon where everyone went from red -> gold or blue -> silver. And a lot of people went from Yellow -> Crystal.

I honestly don't remember what I did afterwards, because tbh, I didn't own a GBA at the time so sequels to Gold/Silver were emulated and I can't remember which route I chose. But was just partially messing with you because I find this pattern so funny

@SirBecas Yeah, I felt that some versions are blueish and redish ahah. It may be just me though!

@hamano I assume a lot of it, in terms of the blue/red pattern, comes from the Pokemons that made the cover of those games. The blueish/redish was also established by the water/fire types that were making the cover of each game. I wouldn't be surprised if grass type starters were, overall, less picked. Not sure if this data exists though.
