Social pressure of having kids "What's new, well, we've finally signed our civil partnership last month.
-Oh, that's great! Means you're gonna trying to have kids now?"

Hum...No?

We signed our civil partnership, it's only us two on it, and there's absolutely no mention of "they commit to have children" anywhere.

I mean, I do understand that I have a big family, most of my relatives have had children, a significant number of them up to 3 or 4, and are used to have people with kids around, but WTF? What's with this idea that you seemingly need to have children to, idk, cement your life or something, especially your love life?

And believe me, over the past weekend I've heard enough of the huge life problems you potentially have to deal with when you have kids not to regret our choice.

Though I understand the will to keep things simple, it's quite annoying that after so many years you still have absolutely no option in to adjust your wallpaper beyond changing it in base settings, and you need to install something like GNOME Tweaks to have them.

Toxic behaviors Over the past few years, we've made great progress in calling out aggression, harassment and other toxic behaviors. There's still a looooong way to go, but we've made progress.

On the other hand, some recent cases make me wonder about the injunctions to “do better”, particularly concerning those who end up behaving in problematic ways. Is there really, at the moment, in the light of the reactions even to those who seem to be sincerely trying to make amends, a place that everyone else is prepared to grant them in order to do so?
